Prometheus Burning studio 2009
Just a few sloppy shots showing the current state of the studio. We snapped the pictures rather hastily to post in a gearwhore thread on the Side-Line forums, and figured we might as well post them here too. You can see the progress of THE BEAST, our Eurorack modular that is growing more and more every day. We will take proper pictures some time soon when the studio is in less disarray, the modular more complete, and when Nick is there with his interesting hardware setup as well.

Is it wrong that I accidentally read that as "Just a few sloppy seconds in our studio"?

I read the same. This makes it right.

yes indeed! it's the performance pad version with a built in drum machine. we will be taking it on tour with us to use live as both a midi controller, and a drum machine depending on the song.

Coo, I'm actually thinking about getting the USB midi version for the studio myself for drum programming. Haven't had a chance to try it yet though.

I'm in total envy of your TI as well

That is a custom noise box made by KingCapitolPunishment. It is 4 self oscillating circuits which all get routed to some sort of mutilation circuit with about 12 different modes. It can also be used for effects processing... which we do quite often. We love his stuff =)

A JoeMeek JM37 condenser mic. Nothing too fancy, but it is one of our favorites for studio recording. We one a few different Sennheiser's, but the meek has a very nice character to it. We used it a lot on the new album.

Thanks! I am not sure what we are going to do when we have to move out of here... this place has just enough space to fit all of our shit.

We got really lucky with this space... there's no way we can find something this big in this area without paying at least double what we are currently paying. We'll probably have to leave the South Side area =/

We have been trying to get the Doepfer A-189 cruncher, but it is sold out! We've even been trying to find it used... no such luck until Analog Haven restocks I guess =/

Our Tyme Sefari module arrived two days ago though... with the expansion, that thing can do some pretty insane bit reduction and distortion!
